Departments of MAPSA Co.

Technical & Engineering Dep.

Technical & Engineering Dep. of MAPSA Co. organized in order to achieve the defined goals in the company's policy and has as below purposes:

· Creating technology & knowledge and access to the domestic & foreign scientific &research centers and the technical &engineering references.

· Taking advantage of the scientific facilities and experienced & expert human resources for training objectives and the scientific & technical knowledge level enhancement of personnel.

· To satisfy the technical & engineering needs of the projects

To achieve the above- mentioned goals, this department consists of four sub-groups as below:

· Technical checks &reviews

· Design & computations

· Researches

· Tenders documents technical evaluation

Main Activities & Projects of T& E Dep.

Design & manufacture of dryer for the CNG refueling stations with the different types & capacities.

· Giving engineering services in the field of design, manufacture , selection & supply, installation & commissioning the CNG refueling stations equipments

· Studies on mud logging in the field of drilling industry

· Soroosh oil platform process pumps.

· Reverse engineering of four types KSB process pumps.

· Design of 80-250-MAPSA type Pump

· Providing the manufacturing methods and instructions

· Providing codes and standards, performing design & computations, drafting, estimation and technical specification of materials.

 

Information Technology Department

The first step in promotion of knowledge – based management in a system is transferring data and information.

IT department organized to achieve the IT industry development purposes and facilitating the design & establishment of mechanized systems under Web in the country industries.

This department will give the necessary services benefitting from the modern technology of the mechanized systems under Web and laying stress on the basic principles of the systems establishment including prices feasibility in accordance with the existing potentials as well as careful specific analysis.

The Technologies Used in the Organization’s Systems:

· Service-oriented architecture (SOA)

· Object –oriented programming (OOP)

· Multi - tier architecture.

· Using the state –of- the – art programming outputs of Microsoft Co. such as NET framework 305 and SQL server 2008

· Implementing the whole of projects using Rational Unified Process.

Software Projects

· Design, installation and running LAN &WAN networks.

· Design, running intranet and extranet

· The software & hardware procedures for network and data security &protection

· Business process management system (BPMS)

· Enterprise resource planning (ERP)

 

Planning Department

Planning department of MAPSA Co. will move towards achieving the strategic goals to implement & enhance the management systems, planning and quality management.

The specialists of this department involve in training and managerial systems establishment by developing the management knowledge based on pertinent standards and codes as follows:

Quality Management Standard: This company established the quality management system based on the ISO 9001-2000 standard and obtained related certificate from the TUV-NORD company in 2005
This certificate was revised and reissued in 2009 following the corrective actions implementation and continuous improvement and making positive changes in the organization processes .

This trend is continuing via understanding and implementing the standard requirements in accordance with the 2008 revision .

Organizational Excellence Model (EFQM): This company acquired EFQM certificate in 2008 following the training plans implementation and creating organizational culture proportional to the excellence model and personnel endeavours.
Project Management Standard (PMBOK): With regard to be project-based organization of MAPSA Co. the planning personnel have begun the study and review of this standard since 2007. This department has made arrangements to establish this standard by holding the training courses for the managers and other personnel.

The standard requirements comprising 9 areas of project management knowledge and 5 groups of project management processes are fulfilling for the company's projects.

In order to develop the project management knowledge, planning department is studying and reviewing on the program & portfolio management for the strategic growth providing the projects performance & projects managers evaluation methods based on the OPM3 standard.

Balance Scorecard Approach (BSC): MAPSA Co. will effiently formulate and implement its grand strategy and the long –term and medium- term purposes using balanced scorecard method.
In the scope of the vision and grand strategy, measurement criteria, targets, plans and executive initiatives will be determined for their realization.

Using this method based on the financial, customer, internal processes and learning & growth perspectives, all of the strategic business units(SBU) and logistic units will be defined.

To achieve the objectives pertaining to each perspective, the targets and measurement criteria and the time - durations will be specified.

The strategy implementation and performance key results evaluation will be controlled based on this approach with regard to the identified criteria.

The company's success for value - creating and intangible assets development such as knowledge, capability of personnel, information networks and customer relationship will be controlled and assessed.

Project Control and Planning

Taking advantage of the skilled personnel and their knowledge and experiences, and benefitting from the up –to – date softwares for planning and project control such as the primavera version 6 as well as implementing the project management processes and requirements according to the PMBOK standards, Mapsa Co. has succeeded to base a powerful project management system with the planning approach.

Administrative & Financial Department

The legal validity and financial turnover of Mapsa Co. before the banks and financial institutes will cause that issuing the bank guaranties for taking part in the tenders and providing the bank performance guaranties and the other financial documents are fulfilled at soonest.

The company's financial department relying on timely implementing financial processes do its best to expedite the financial & legal transactions.

The administrative unit is resonsible for the activities of human resources acquisition , retention and promotion in the framework of the organizational chart based on the provided plans for the development of human resources.

 

Commercial Department

The commercial department of Mapsa Co. takes responsibility to achieve the strategic objectives , relaying on the customers & suppliers and the market capacities recognition and the suitable marketing approaches for acquiring projects and customers. This department is responsible for recognizing customers, conducting feasibilities and the marketing studies & investigations, and providing the tender documents and taking part in tenders.

The commercial department in accordance with the company policy has close connection with customers and moves in direction of monitoring & satisfying the costumers' demands.

This department with effectively attendance at the domestic and foreign exhibitions and commercial societies, will endeavour to set up communication with customers in order to acquaint them with the company.
