:Project Summary
The main objective of this project is to conduct an in-depth study on the multiphase fluid movement in wells and pipelines, and design and implement a native software that is compatible with the oil and gas data within the country, using the latest thermodynamic multiphase methods. Due to the numerous challenges in designing production systems and the existing uncertainties in the relationships used for predicting pressure drop, there is a strong need for a native software in this field. By having such software, initial steps can be taken to build newer models for predicting pressure drop in production systems within the country, and on the other hand, the high costs associated with acquiring licenses for existing commercial software and their maintenance will be eliminated. Additionally, having such software enables easy updates based on the needs of the country’s oil experts, and it can easily incorporate features that are not present in similar foreign software, making it a powerful software in this field
